I adore getting the house ready for Christmas and creating new decorations, so when Turtle Mat challenged me to create a Christmas wreath I couldn’t resist. They sent a box of supplies including the cute faux robin.
I knew I wanted the wreath to last so I decided against fresh leaves and holly, but I still wanted that flowery look. I bought a garland from The Range to wrap around the metal wreath hoop. I used the little gold bells in two bunches and attached them onto the garland. I also used some larger red bells to compliment the smaller ones. I wrapped the berries around the garland too. I didn’t use the oranges as I really want to stick to a red, green and gold theme. The robin just tops it off nicely, it’s so sweet and traditional.
This looks great hanging up on our front door, but I’ve moved it to my kitchen table as I think it will make a really lovely table centrepiece with a big pillar candle in the middle. I love how it’s turned out and it makes the room really feel Christmassy.
I’ve also made a crochet christmas wreath you can check out.
