I’ve neglected my Filofax planner for the last few months as I felt like the regular week on two pages wasn’t a good fit for me. I’d be putting tasks under each day even though they were more for just doing whenever. So I was really excited when I spotted a week on one page and notes inserts in WH Smith for 2016. These seem like the best of both worlds, as really, I don’t have many meetings to schedule.
I’ve made it all Christmassy for December and I’ve started to write my meal plan down the side of the day. This means I can see what I’m cooking at a quick glance.
2016 diary inserts
For the new year I have the pages below from WH Smith which has the ‘Notes’ page on the left and then a week on the right. I really hope this design will work better for me. It gives me space to make notes, doodle and make lists. Here’s my attempt at some hand lettering. I’ve pinned loads onto my hand lettering Pinterest board and I want to learn!
Meal planning insert
I created this monthly spread insert by adapting a year planner from Philofaxy and changing the table to 7 by 7 cells. I’m going to try really hard to stick to meal planning by month. This means doing one huge online shop and then just popping to the shops for fresh items.
I want to try not to have such an emotional relationship with food, where I have a meal planned but then feel like crap so end up with takeaway instead. I’ve added lots of new recipes in here so I’m really excited to give them a go.
