I’ve been really getting into podcasts recently. They’re so easy to listen to in the car or while doing the chores. I used to watch YouTube videos while doing the washing up but I kept getting worried that my phone would vibrate and then slip into the sink! Here are a few of my favourite podcasts that I’m listening to at the moment.
Heart, Soul & Hustle
Heart, Soul & Hustle is a podcast by Zach Spuckler. It’s aim is to help you make your business a success. I wouldn’t call my blog a business as it’s a hobby so I don’t listen to all his episodes but there have been some great tips in episodes about content creation and how to be a visible introvert – one thing I definitely struggle with. If you want to take your business to the next level then this is one for you.
Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
On a similar theme, Amy Porterfield’s Online Marketing Made Easy has some amazing episodes to get your business of the group. The ‘How to get overwhelm to eat your dust’ episode was really helpful. There are tips on how to beat Facebook’s algorithm and how to get started with Facebook live (which I won’t be doing, I don’t even have a Facebook page). But I’ve found these episodes really helpful for my day job as a social channel manager when not on maternity leave.
Hashtag Authentic
A recent favourite and a British podcast! Sara Tasker talks about blogging and Instagram so this is definitely right up my street. It’s some good honest advice on how to improve your Instagram game. I really enjoyed her episodes on comparison and following your creative interests. She also introduced me to AllThatIsShe who is an awesome Instagrammer (why wasn’t I following her already).
The Infinite Monkey Cage
The Infinite Monkey Cage wouldn’t be my usual choice of podcast but it’s one of my husbands favourites so we listen to it in the car. I really enjoyed the episode about gambling and not because I love hitting the casinos. It taught me how to win at Monopoly which is far more important in my eyes – although wouldn’t make me any richer. It’s a podcast featuring Brian Cox and Robin Ince and it usually has some scientists and comedians on the show too. There are topics ranging from the oceans to the maths behind love and sex. It can get a bit too sciency for me, I’ve always been more interested in the arts, but it can be quite funny too.
Amazing If
The Amazing If podcast is by Sarah and Helen and covers tools and advice on your career and future. It’s a relatively new podcast but I’ve found it really useful so far. I like that they’re a lot shorter in length than some other podcasts I listen to so good for when doing the dishes. I really enjoyed the episode about a fear of people not liking you. It’s something that I’ve definitely thought about when in the workplace.
